D. W. Belfield

Hey there. My name is Derek Belfield, and I write under the name D. W. Belfield. I feel like I live a lot of lives: Marine Corps veteran, tech executive, entrepreneur, devout Christian, husband, and father to two boys.

I live in the Dallas area of Texas, and I stay busy running companies as the Chief of Staff for a portfolio company and the co-founder and CEO of Zenblis and Mythener.

Sleep is for the weak, so I use what little spare time I have to write, mostly because I love it. As a lifelong fan of deep world-building and progression, I put all of my experience in leadership, technology, and strategy straight into my novels.

I think it’s paid off: I’m a three-time best-selling author for my series The Scourge Wars, and I only hope to get better at my craft.
